A light hearted and fun approach to trying your hand at clay modelling a sculpture in an inspirational setting.
Our workshops have become very popular with lovely feedback from our guests. They are designed for both beginners and experienced sculptors, offering a supportive and creative environment.
You will be taught to understand the underlying structure as well as to observe with sensitivity the subtle nuances in features and personality of the sitter.
Teaching will cover building an armature, blocking in, key measurements, proportions and essential anatomy of the head.
With a maximum of 7 students per session, each participant receives plenty of individual attention.

About our guest tutor
Andrian Melka is a British-Albanian figurative sculptor, his work reflects his profound reverence for the beauty and complexity of the human form. Drawing inspiration from classical traditions while embracing the freedom to explore new techniques, his approach to sculpture is both intuitive and deliberate.
Whether carving figures, busts and portraits in stone and marble, or sculpting them in clay to cast in bronze, Andrian seeks to capture the essence of his subjects, creating sculptures that seem to come to life and resonate on a deeply personal level.
